5.0 out of 5 stars Got these for my son

My son decided he wanted to wrestle this year. I got these, because I didn't want to shell out over 100 bucks if he quit after the first practice. After research, I saw these were considered the best on a budget. He started practicing in November and he is loving it. He doesn't have a lot of wins, but he has improved and the shoes have held up. We are going to upgrade and keep these as a backup until he grows out of these. I will say my son normally wears a size 10.5, but we had to go up to 11 for these. I've seen people in the past say these shoes aren't good on their feet when running around on the road and stuff. If you buy these to do normally jogging around the neighborhood that's on the buyer not the shoes. Clearly, it says wrestling.

I am a solid 11.5 mens foot for almost every other shoe I own and wear. It's been a minute since I needed wrestling shoes but I don't remember almost all wrestling shoes being SO narrow. I have purchased - and returned - four pairs of different wrestling shoes from different online stores over the past month or so because everywhere has been far too small, even when I bumped up sizes. I finally got my pair in a 12.5 and they fit really well, so I suggest going up 1 to 1.5 size than your normal wear.

The shoe itself seems fine but that can only be determined over time. I am happy with my purchase so far, just annoyed that it took this one to find something that fits.

Very tight at the front, but comfortable once broken in. I use it for boxing and it is super light. Must get at least half a size up, or even one size up if you have wide feet.

I am a UK size 9 in Nike etc. I ordered these in a 9.5. They are a perfect fit and would even have been in a size 9 UK. All the other reviews saying size up by 2 etc. just have not unlaced them or read the sizings. This or they have very abnormal feet.
The shoes themselves are so light I barely notice they are on. They are flexible and you can fold them in half, literally. It is so breathable and also looks great. Just like the images provided. Came in an ASICS box with tags. Delivery was on time.
I use these for powerlifting, squats, deadlifts, and general accessory work. They are honestly good. Keep me gripped and grounded. Much better than bare feet. The only thing is I am unsure about prices. Then again 180 for an SBD belt and like 60 for these so I guess that could be worse.
If you need a shoe for lifting and fancy ASICS I’d say, go for it. Just get your normal size or .5 up. Don’t get bigger or the toe box will be way too long! Unlace the shoes first then tie them up and you are golden.
