adidas Men's Tech Response Golf Shoes 2

adidas is a name that stands for excellence in all sectors of sport around the globe. The vision of company founder Adolf Dassler has become a reality, and his corporate philosophy has been the guiding principle for successor generations. The idea was as simple as it was brilliant: to provide every athlete with the best possible equipment. It all began in 1920 when Adi Dassler made his first shoes using the few materials available after the First World War. Today, the adidas product range extends from shoes, apparel, and accessories for basketball, soccer, fitness, and training to adventure, trail, and golf.

Question: Does anyone's wide-size shoe actually say Wide on the shoe? Mine only says wide on the box
Answer: From my experience, Adidas uses a different item number for the regular versus the wide. For example, I have Adidas Traxion spikeless and item number EE9206 is regular width and EE9202 is wide. I have the wide and the tag on the shoe does NOT have a "W" but does have the EE9202 number. So check the box and the shoes and see if the item number matches. Also, Adidas tends to run a bit narrow, so it's understandable to think they put the wrong shoe in the box!

Love, love, love these shoes. I've been golfing for 38 years and have gone through more than a few golf shoes. These shoes, by far, are the most comfortable yet! Easy on/off too. They are light and the grip is just right. I'm very pleased with these shoes and I expect they'll wear well. I do not expect them to be waterproof but I haven't experienced any issues playing in morning dew. I am convinced you'll be pleased if you get these shoes.

So far so good. Disclaimer I have worn them on the golf course yet, but I have tried them on, walked around a bit, and hit some balls in my backyard. I also bought and tried a pair of Nike Explorer 2 golf shoes.

First off I will say that these Adidas are much more comfortable. Nike’s are hard and rigid and as a result, they are not very comfortable. The material used in these Adidas is much softer and flexible around your foot and as a result, they are a lot more comfortable. As far as appearance they both look great, but I’m more partial to the look of the Adidas with the 2 different materials that they have on the outside which appears to be real or fake leather and a lightweight mesh whereas the Nike’s have a fairly hard plastic/rubbery type material that they used for the entire outer part of the shoe except for the sole and the interior.

These Adidas also have 6 traditional plastic spikes plus a bunch of small rubber knobs, ridges, and other shapes similar to a traditional cross-trainer. The Nike doesn’t have any plastic or metal spikes and the entire sole is covered with various rubber ridges and pyramid-shaped rubber more like a cross trainer or hiking shoe.

As far as traction the Adidas had good traction when I hit a few balls in my back yard but I wasn’t able to take a full swing with my short irons or hit my driver or long irons at all because I don’t have enough room without hitting my neighbor's house so I can’t say how well the traction is when taking a full swing. I expect the traction will be good.

The first use of these was walking Augusta National for par 3, round 1, and round 2.
Incredibly comfortable, and did great in the wet conditions (if you watched, you know it rained) and dried quickly. Great golf shoes.
